ABOUT EPOXIES

Epoxies are one of the most adaptable and widely sold high performance polymers in the world, commonly used since the 1930s.

THE NAME ‘EPOXY’

The name ‘epoxy’ traces back to two Greek words, ‘epi’ (over) and ‘oxi’ (the combining form of oxygen). Today, this term is used to define both the basic component and the end product of epoxy resins.

Whether specified in viscosity liquids or high melting point solids, epoxies have contributed to increasing the performance of numerous applications in everyday products as well as highly specialised industrial machinery.
